StringForge uses the microphone only after you start the tuner. Pitch detection runs locally in your browser.

The browser app does not upload, store, or transmit raw microphone audio. Account pages store only the information needed to sign in, such as email address, password hash, Google account identifier, and optional Google profile name or avatar when you use Google sign-in.

Your tuner settings are stored with your account so they follow you between sessions. Your current IP address is used only to prevent simultaneous account use from different networks. Session records expire after 30 minutes without activity and are removed during session processing.
